Working with children and the local community

As part of our passion for all types of needle craft we went into several schools to create a panel for the Guild entitled The World’s Longest Embroidery for Schools

All three schools wanted a panel for themselves so we started with Vane Road. Other projects worked on in schools were, weaving, making hearts for Valentine’s Day and decorations for Christmas, Easter bunnies, and book marks.

We took part in making Wiggly Bags for children with cancer. The bags go over their neck and shoulder and hold central lines to keep them safe and clean. The tray cloths went to St. Theresa’s Hospice. We have made these before and they were looking a bit tired so we were asked to make some more.
